For me, when I'd use oils for the ends to lose my twists/braids, I got KNOTS! My fine hair knots easily. Recently I've tried using a leave in conditioner only and it was sooo much easier; no knots! Thanks for the video and motivation.
Thank you Cara ! I don't remember shedding this much hair before after protective styling for 3 weeks to a month. I will repeat this experiment again just to be sure. 😊
Shea butter makes it easier for me than oils. I apply a lot of Shea butter, let it sit for a while in scaff, after losing the braids, I apply the Shea butter again from the tip to the root, comb trough with my fingers, wait for sometime before shampooing.
Thanks for the video!! I get those same knots in my hair but don’t have nearly the amount of patience. Thanks also for showing the shedding at the end. Most people don’t show that. It really help to put shedding into perspective for me. Thanks!!
I think that was quite a large amount of hair lost was it worth it, I use to ask myself after I take down braids. You did way better than me I just pull most of the knots out. You have more hair to fall back on, the oil was a great idea. Win Win🥇
When you were using the oil to take out your twists, you can also use water in a spray bottle with your oil to also take out your twists. And for me if I had long hair like that and if I take my hair out of any protective style and if I start at the very bottem of my hair and if I see knots that are small just like yours, in my humble opinion, I'd just cut it.
I think that's normal shedding after wearing twist 4 weeks. the only time I experience shedding now is during my weekly shampoo routine bc I'm not touching my hair throughout the week--i like this since I'm not experiencing breakage and I'm seeing length retention 😁
Hi Audrey ! I'm so late !!! I'm in Martinique and don't take time to watch videos. I'm glad to see you ! Hope you and your family are okay with the Covid situation in Guadeloupe. See you soon !! 😚😚
I think I'm just going to do two weeks minimum with the twist. I haven't gained that patient with my loose natural yet (combed out 7 year locs in March).
Glad to see you back WOW! that's a lot of shedding but I guess if you have a lot of hair you would have more shedding. Where are you traveling to? can you share some of your traveling also
Thank you ! I think I have more shedding than usual but what reassures me is that I've retained more hair length. I was in France last month, now I'm in Sweden. I have filmed some videos of my traveling, I have to think about how to edit them in a way that will be interesting.
@@UnivHairSoleil3 So glad you have more length, yes I saw your traveling video they was awesome and would love to see more, what about doing the video live, I'm not able to go to other countries but I love to see other people go. Do your job or business send you to those places?
I'm traveling in Sweden right now, I didn't take the time to search for those ingredients. I will probably find aloe vera but I'm not sure I would find cactus.
I love your channel! I live in Europe and my hair gets dry very fast during the summer. Do you have any tips for us Caribbean girls living in Europe. I know that you used to live up here too 🌼
Thank you ! I have come to Sweden this month and I can feel the difference on my hair ! I tend to apply more oil on my hair here and I do a lot of protective styling. 😊

Welcome back 🤗
It's normal shedding, especially when having protective styles in for weeks even months. You can shed approximately 100 strands a day.

You have an insurmountable amount of patience ❤️
Thank you ! ❤️❤️❤️
U said it right!! I would've cut that first knot out right away!!! Lol nice job🌺
I leave my hair in twists or braided for a few weeks and I get alot of shedding too, love your channel ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thank you ! 💕💕💕
Have u tried a tea spritz on your scalp for shedding?
@@stephanie4337 no I haven't tried anything. My hair doesn't appear thin tho, should I still do it?
@@stephanie4337 shedding is normal. You lose 50 to 100 hairs daily
Oh my goodness, this will take the whole day girl. But hey, that's the only way out to reduce breaking of hair. Thanks for sharing girl

I think your shedding was normal considering your length and density. I really loved this video.

Hibiscus infused in olive oil is an excellent detangler.😉
What makes you say that?
@@baconeggandcheese8402 I 'say that' to share information that works.
That’s a great idea! I’m going to try it. Hibiscus itself has slip to it too. Thank you!!🌺💖
@@Leah_Tewari You're welcome! You'll love it!😉👍 (I'm Leah as well! 😁)
Wow you are so patient with your beautiful hair ....💖❤🥰💯
So happy to see your beautiful face again! Great informative video.
Thank you so much Tamara ! 🤗💕
I've been missing you girl!! Awesome video, I'm in the process of taking down my mini braids too
Thank you so much for coming back ! I will post more videos ! 🤗

You have patience. I guess I'm going to have to get some from somewhere if I want length retention
Yes you need patience to retain as much hair length as possible. 🙂

Hello! I love your hair! Its absolutely gorgeous. How did you moisturize your hair in this style? Did you ever wet it or you just oiled it. Thanks
